Nellie was always nice to me. She baked beautiful, delicious cakes and was, of course, an amazing artist. I know how much her family and close friends will miss her.
I am honored to have gotten to know Nellie over the past several years. She was such a kind, caring, giving and talented lady and much like me, she loved her dogs! I am honored to not only have become a friend of Nellie's but am honored for her to trust me and my family with her last dog, Minnie. Minnie will always provide me with a daily smile and reminder of Nellie.
I was one of the lucky ones of the Class of 1964 that could call Nellie my true & faithful friend. We shared many hours of laughter as well as times of sadness when we began to lose our loved ones. Most recently although her health had failed and she could not visit Mom, her calls were daily and so supportive. She told me many times that she loved my Mom as her own since it had been many years since her mother had passed away. She was the computer tech behind our class having such creative and unforgettable reunions. She touched my life in such a beautiful way and I will always hold dear our talks. Rest in peace Nellie--no more pain. Our birthday club will miss you and will honor your memory always..
I got to know Nellie when we worked at QST. She was a very sweet and beautiful lady. Everybody loved her. She was a blessing just to be around. Thoughts and prayers to her family. Barbara Barney
