Winona "Nonie" Jean Davis Peterman, 84, of Mocksville, died Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born April 1, 1941, in Concord, NH, to the late Merton Ellsworth and Mildred Ingram Windsor Davis. Nonie and her husband Dennis spent many years volunteering with various organizations. They loved to travel and went many places in their camper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Dennis Peterman; brothers, Cortland W. Davis, Gaylord E. Davis, Vernon M. Davis, and Norman R. Davis; and sisters, Muriel Pierce, Nyleen Davis, Joyce Oates, and Shirley A Davis.

Survivors include a son, David E. Peterman (Christina); sister, Gwendolyn Noel; grandchildren, Audrey Heighton, David Heighton, and Connor Dennis Peterman; sisters-in-law, Penny Peterman, Pam Peterman and Kathy Peterman; special friends, Shannon Fansler and Lois Steelman; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery.
