William Eugene 'Gene' Foote, 74, died Dec. 20 in Forsyth Medical Center. He had been in declining health. He was son of the late Esaw Foote and Lucy Dulin Foote. Gene was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Will H. and Juanita Dillard. He was educated in Davie County Schools and was self-employed as a Plumber. He is survived by three sisters, Josephine Foote and Margaret Lewis both of Mocksville, and Lazora Williams of Durham; a special niece, Wanda Dalton, with whom he lived; other relatives and friends.
