William "Bill" Ray Baity, Sr., 93, died Saturday, September 27, 2025, at his home.

He was born August 12, 1932, in Davie County, to the late Edburn Flake and Fanny Blanch Burgess Baity. Bill was a member of Courtney Baptist Church in Yadkinville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Laura Booie Baity; three sisters, Fanny Belle Bailey, Lidia Shore, and Frances Warner; two brothers, Ed Baity, and James Baity.

Survivors include his son, William "Ray" Baity, Jr. (Bonnie); and two sisters, Betty York, and Gay Lawrence

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Thursday, October 2, at Courtney Baptist Church in Yadkinville, with Rev. James Williams, and Dr. Darrell Cox officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
