William Anthony "W.A." Beck, 85, of Mocksville, died Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born November 12, 1940, in Davie County, to the late Noah Earl and Zola Dorthory Anthony Beck. W.A. was a member of Calahaln Friendship Baptist Church. He was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army National Guard. W.A. retired from Salem National Trucking Company after 25 years and, over the years, also worked for Seaford Tree Service, Ashley Furniture, CT Trucking Company, and Ace Trucking.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Karren Sain Beck; children, Theresa Smith (Jacob) and David Beck; siblings, Carol Atwood and Fred Beck (Judy); grandchildren, Anthony Beeson, William Beck, Kennita Price (Grant), and Jennifer Smith; great-grandchildren, Connor Price (Ellie), Courtney Martin (Michael), and Charlie Price; and great-greatgrandchildren, Michael Benjamin Martin and Tripp Price.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 7, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chad Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in Calahaln Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 6, at the funeral home.
