Willa Dean Etchison Mayhew, 85, of Advance, NC passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

Born January 9, 1940 in Davie County to the late William Bascomb Etchison and Beulah Smith Etchison. "Dean" attended Davie County schools. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved cooking, gardening and tending her flowers.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Kevin (Suzanne); her sister, Katie Shutt (Tommy); her nieces, Lisa, Linda, and Sherry; and nephew, Bobby.

A private graveside service was held Sunday, July 27 at Advance United Methodist Church with Pastor Bobby Shutt officiating.
