Mr. Waverly Dean Shore, 69, of Pfafftown, died Saturday, January 27, 2024, at his home.

He was born March 18, 1954, in Rowan County, to the late James Odell and Gladys Mae Cornatzer Shore. Waverly was a member of Vandemere Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a favorite aunt, Carrie Cornatzer.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Burton Shore; children, Timothy, James, and Lisa; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, at Cornatzer Methodist Church Cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Lambert Funeral Home, Mocksville.
