Walter Eugene Ridenhour, 72, of Pfafftown, died Saturday, June 20, 2026.

He was born on January 20, 1954, in Rowan County, to the late Otis Eugene and Addie Wilma Campbell Ridenhour. Walter was devoted to his family and found joy in spending time with those he loved. An avid golfer, he cherished the friendships, memories, and countless hours spent on the golf course. He will be remembered for his love of family, his kind spirit, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. Walter will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joann Allen and Susan Morrison; and a grandson, Anderson.

Survivors include his life partner, Rhonda Tapscott; son, Adam Ridenhour (Courtney); and grandsons, Sullivan and Jackson.

Services will be held at a later date.
