Verna Mae Moody Owens, 76, of Mocksville, died Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Davie Nursing & Rehab.

She was born November 20, 1948, in Iredell County, to the late Grady Greene and Lessie Mae Combs Moody. She was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Advance.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Lloyd Owens, Sr.; a son, Perry Lloyd Owens, Jr.; grandson, Robert Paul Owens; two brothers, Ronald Moody, and Bobby Moody; and two sisters, Betty Sue Moody, and Mary Lois Tysinger.

Survivors include her son, Shannon Owens; siblings, Lucille Moody Bledsoe, and Donald Ray Moody; one grandchild; seven great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 12, Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Wayne Swisher officiating.
