Mrs. Vauter Mae James Wilson, 91, died Monday, October 21, 2019, at Somerset Court. She was born April 15, 1928, in Stokes County to the late Ernest and Mary Maggie Lillian Adkins James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Oliver Moss; three husbands, Foy Martin Wilson, Herman Lloyd Miller and Humphrey Marlowe; two sons, Ernest Martin Wilson and David Thomas Wilson; three brothers, William Thomas Moss, Arnold Gray Moss and Johnny Vivian Moss; and a great-grandson, Parker Shelton. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Marie Wilson Anderson and husband, David of Mocksville and Vauter Mae Proctor and husband, Lee of Mount Gilead; two daughters-in-law, Joan Shoe Wilson (wife of the late Ernest Martin Wilson) of Asheboro and Laura Bell Wilson (wife of the late David Thomas Wilson) of High Point; five siblings, Lonnie Lee Moss, Larry Ray Moss (Sue), Opal Moss Witcher, all of High Point, Pauline Moss Morgan (Gerald) of Greensboro and Laura Jane Moss Brown (Donald) of Lexington; grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson Fountain and husband Roger, Anthony Wilson, George Allen Wilson and wife Mary, Tiffany Wilson Roach and husband Eric, Dustin Wilson and wife Hannah, Joy Shelton Klenke and husband Scott, Jeremy Shelton and wife Kasey, Tammy Brooks and husband Johnny, Sherri Guinn and husband Ronnie, Christopher Anderson and spouse Alejandro Valenzela, Kimberly Anderson, Kristen Lee Proctor, Kathryn Proctor Berry and husband Charles, Trinity Joy Whitley and husband Thomas; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Clifton, Jessica Fountain, Jared Fountain and wife Anna, Nicholas Wilson Morningstar (Samantha), Lauren Wilson, Bransten Wilson, Hope Wilson, Aynsley Wilson, Chesney Wilson, Kade Roach, Bailey Roach, Carson Roach, Paylina Wilson, Liliana Wilson, Emmaline Wilson, Coulter Wilson, Brentley Wilson,Austin Klenke, Brady Klenke, Adley Shelton, Stephanie Bradshaw and husband Ryan, Drew Linthicum, Sean Linthicum and wife Ashlyn, Rodney Guinn, April Guinn, Victoria Berry, Allie Berry, Alana Proctor Berry, Robbie Berry, Braylee Mae Berry, and Davis Emmanuel Whitley; great-great-grandchildren, Addie Fountain, Kai Anderson, Jake Waylon Phipps,Seth Bradshaw, Peyton Bradshaw, Kaylee Burdette, Aubree Linthicum, Chasitee Linthicum, Nevaeh Linthicum, Emberley Linthicum, Leland Wilson, Dallas Guinn, Breanna Loden, and Lucas Loden; and many nieces and nephews. The LORD God says: I will pour out My Spirit on your descendants and My Blessing on your offspring...showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments. Isaiah 44:3b, Exodus 20:6 A funeral service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, October 26, at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dana Fruits officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 27, at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro, with Rev. Lee Proctor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for First Presbyterian Church, 261 S. Main Street, Mocksville, NC 27028, memo: Womens Ministry.
