Sue Carrol Wagner Steele-Correll, 92,  of Thomasville, died Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem.

She was born October 21, 1933, in Davie County, to the late Alfred Owen and Lila Howerton Wagner. Sue and her husband, Hoyle ran Cooleemee Flowers and Gifts where she had worked as a florist for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cooleemee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Quentin Anderson Steele; her second husband, James Hoyle Correll; son, Carol Steele; and siblings, Jene Bagget and Harold Wagner.

Survivors include children, Les Steele (Joyce) and Sylan Jarrell (Phil); grandchildren, Quentin Steele (Rosemary), Will Steele, Evan Steele, and Max Jarrell; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey Steele, Emma Steele, and Lila Moutselos.
