Scarlette Marie Campbell, known as 'Seal,' beloved daughter of the late Susan Edmonia Steele Campbell and the late Otto Columbus Campbell, was born in Iredell County on January 12, 1943. She peacefully entered into eternal rest at her home on Friday, October 17, 2014, surrounded by her family. 'Seal' joined First Baptist Church in Harmony, NC at an early age. She was a 1960 graduate of Unity High School and graduated from barber school in Washington, DC. She worked as a licensed barber for several years. After returning to North Carolina, Seal lived a life of dedicated sacrifice, caring for her immediate family and relatives. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary F. Campbell Tolliver and Doris J. Campbell Smith; three brothers, Charles O. Campbell, Cleve E. Campbell, and the Rev. James C. Campbell. She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, one sister, Ellen E. Campbell of Harmony, NC; two brothers, Tilton Wayne Campbell, Sr. of Harmony, and Rev. Ray N. (Mary) Campbell of Greensboro, NC; one aunt, Ann McKee of Baltimore, MD; one uncle, Billy R. Steele of Harmony, NC; additional relatives and friends.
