Mrs. Sarah Everhart Zimmerman, 99, of Mocksville, died Monday, February 24, 2020, at her home. She was born March 29, 1920, in Davie County to the late George Robert and Edna Ethel Bowles Everhart. Mrs. Zimmerman attended Davie Baptist Tabernacle Church. She had worked at Hanes Knitting and had retired from Wonderknit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Thomas Zimmerman, Sr. in 2000; and a son, Elmer Thomas Zimmerman, Jr. in 1968. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Zimmerman Nichols of Cape Fair, MO and Vasta Zimmerman Pruitt (Stanley) of Umatilla, FL; a son, Todd Zimmerman of Mocksville; two sisters, Ruby Nell Carter and Barbara De Long; three grandchildren, Dan Nichols, Dru Nichols and Stanley Thomas Pruitt; four great-grandchildren, Wesley Tucker, Jacob Nichols, Piper Pruitt and Blake Pruitt; and two great-great-grandchildren, Mia Tucker and Logan Tucker. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 29, at Lambert Graham Funeral Home, with Rev. Howard Moffitt officiating. Interment will follow in Cornatzer Baptist Church Cemetery. Sarahs 100th birthday party will be in the fellowship hall immediately following the interment. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 28, at the funeral home.
