Sarah Jane Kelly Brewer, 81, of Mocksville, died Friday, May 9, 2025, at her home.

She was born November 25, 1943, in Trimble County, Kentucky, to the late Lester P. and Stella Mae Payne Kelly. Sarah was a member of Woodleaf Baptist Church. She loved doing crafts, sewing, and doing puzzles. Sarah enjoyed going to theme parks and escape rooms. Sarah had been honored by Kentucky Governor Martha Lane Collins as a Kentucky Colonel, the second highest honor awarded to a Kentucky civilian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Darrell Brewer.

Survivors include sons, Daryl Brewer (Wendy), and Rick Brewer (Lori); grandchildren, Jessica Elaine Brewer, Christy Lynn Brewer, Dalton Allen Brewer, Angelia Brewer, Damietta Brewer and Lance Brewer; great-grandchildren, Lyndsey and Josephine Brewer; and brother, William Kelly.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, at Woodleaf Baptist Church, with Pastor Chris Williams officiating.
