Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Blackwell Frost was born in Davie County on November 28, 1929 to the late Len Blackwell and Mary Bet Blackwell. She departed this life on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital after an extended illness that turned serious the last few days. She attended Davie County Training School, Mocksville, NC. She met, fell in love, and married William Frost, Sr. She learned at an early age that she had a knack for cooking, planting, and caring for children. Ruby was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar Blackwell, and Phillip Blackwell; one sister, Mageline Frost; one son, Harvey Frost; one Grandson, Keith Frost. She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Mary (Edward) Johnson, William (Betty) Frost, John Wayne (Gloria) Frost, Tyrone Frost, and Bell Frost; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three brothers, Wilbur Blackwell, David (Libby) Blackwell, Jake Blackwell; two sisters, Norma Multry and Della Clement; two sisters-in-law, Betty Blackwell, Linda Blackwell; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
