Apostle Rosa Smith York, 75, of Winston-Salem, transitioned Sunday, July 21, 2024, at her home.

She was born August 26, 1948, in Forsyth County, to the late Sherwood and Mary Pauline Kimber Smith. Apostle York was an amazing person, a true woman of God, who touched the lives of so many. She was the light in so many of our lives and we are truly going to miss her so much.

"Love one another! Love one another!"

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward York; and siblings, James, Anthony, and Phyllis.

Survivors include her children, Clarence Jr. (LaTina), Yusef, Ceasar, Derrick, Lisa, Nikita, Timothy, Jeffrey, and Joshua; siblings, William (Debra), Janice, Sharon, Keith (Alice), and Patrick (Curryta); and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her homegoing celebration will be conducted at 11 a.m., Sunday, July 28, at Mt. Sinai Deliverance Temple. The family invites friends to visit with them at the church immediately following the service
