Obituary and photo Salisbury Ronald Lee Rucker, 61, died Nov. 4 in VA Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born June 2, 1951, son of Essie Simpson Rucker and the late Robert Maceo Rucker. He graduated from Price High School and was a linesman for Duke Energy. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Survivors include his mother, Essie Rucker of Salisbury; one son, Ronald Lee Rucker, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC; a step-son, Adrian Byrd of New York; his twin brother, Donald Lee (Lisa) Rucker of Charlotte; one sister, Diane (Ronald) Phifer of Salisbury; one grandchild, Donte' Rucker. Funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 9 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Salisbury. Rev. Nilous Avery will officiate and burial will follow in National Cemetery at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church thirty minutes before the service. The family will be at the home of his sister, Diane, 118 Hemlock Drive, Salisbury.
