Robert "Bobby" Charles
Ginther
Oct 19, 1943 — Jul 17, 2025
Robert "Bobby" Charles Ginther, 81, of Mocksville, danced into the arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of July 17, 2025.
Bob was born on October 19, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Helen Ginther. He moved to Mocksville, in 1960, where he built a life grounded in faith, family, and service.
A Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, Bob lived his life with devotion, generosity, and an ever-present twinkle in his eye. He was known for his love of dancing - especially with his beloved wife, Sandy; along with an avid green thumb in the garden. His knack for tinkering led to many projects and a joy in fixing things around the house. Fondly referred to by his family as "the collector of all the things," Bob had a gift for finding purpose and meaning in the smallest treasures.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Matthews Ginther; his parents; and his brother, Jack Ginther.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sandra Kay Magnus Ginther, of the home; his children, Robbie Ginther (Cindy), Ellen Grubb (Randy), and Chuck Ginther (Missy); stepsons, Rod Magnus and Brad Magnus; his grandchildren, Alex Grubb (Bailey), Kayla Collier (Adam Papoff), Carmen Lawrence (Zach), Haley Ginther (Josh Foster), Ross Ginther, Gunnar Ginther (Alisha), Griff Ginther (Paulina), and Taylor Magnus; eight great-grandchildren who brought him so much joy; sisters, Peggy Shilling of PA, Elaine Smith, Joanne Mason (Zeke), and Rosemary Cozart (David), all of Mocksville; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family invites friends to visit with them from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, July 20, at Lambert Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, July 21, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with Rev. Father Eric L. Kowalski. Interment will follow in the McCullough Family Cemetery.
The family is thankful for the compassion and care provided to Bob prior to his passing.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
