Rhonda Kaye Scruggs Mullis, 65, of Mocksville, died Friday, July 3, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born on March 7, 1961, in Roanoke, VA, to the late Cecil Odell and Gloria Jean Mattox Scruggs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Leon Mullis, a brother, Jeff Scruggs; and a sister, Carol Scruggs Hudson.

Survivors include her children, Kasey Jacobs (Darrell), and Warren Harding "Trey" Cooper, III (Lizzy); a sister, Debbie Mitchell; grandchildren, Kattie Helms (Ryan), Kendal Helms, Kyle Helms, and Stella Cooper; stepgrandchildren, Caleb Humphrey, Alexis Jacobs, and Krystal Bell; special friends, Kathy Ann Briggs (Doug), Betty and Scott Davenport, James Inman (Brittney), and Chris and Charlene Swing; ex-husband and father to her children, Warren H. Cooper, Jr.; a niece, Tori Scruggs; and a nephew, Chris Mitchell.
