Rev. James T. Clement, was born January 29, 1953, in Rowan County, son of Evangelist Mary Ann Clement White. He was raised by his grandmother, Sarah Janie Clement, who named him 'Buster.' She instilled great values, such as respect for others, and being a good role model for his sons and all youth. To this union, two children were born, Quinton and Trent. His first employment was with Burlington Industries and later he worked as an electrician at Comfort Built Windows and Doors. Rev. Clement's pastoral duties began at Shiloh Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, where he served for twenty years. He has served as the pastor at Fairfield Baptist Church in Mocksville for the past eleven years. He has been active in the community in various ways, including a board member of the Davie Family YMCA, president of the DC Cruisers Auto Club, current president of the Davie County NAACP, and a member of the Rowan Baptist Association.
