Raymond Terry Dalton, 71, of Mocksville, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born November 20, 1954, in Forsyth County, to the late James Raymond and Lukettie Vaughn Dalton. Terry owned and operated his photography business, Dalton Photography, for 44 years, taking great joy in making people smile through his work. He had a special gift for making everyone laugh and smile. Terry later retired from Lifestar, where he had been employed since 2009, and before that, he dedicated 21 years of service to RJ Reynolds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Mae Dalton Smith; and a brother-in-law, Frank Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Waller Dalton; children, Amy Dalton Waters (Ben), and Travis Dalton (Lauren); grandchildren, Riley Everhart, Brady Everhart, Mason Everhart, Blaise Dalton, and Tate Dalton; a sister, Avalene Dalton Pegram (Jerry); and his canine companion, Olive.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m., Thursday, April 9, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Dominic Immordino officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them at Lambert Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 9.
