Peggy Jean Williams Potts, 91, of Mocksville, died Friday, September 18, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

She was born November 10, 1934, in Davie County, to the late Dewey Franklin and Gladys Juanita Willams Williams. Mrs. Potts enjoyed spending time with others and helping others through her work cleaning houses. She cherished her church family and was a devoted member of her ladies’ circle, affectionately known as HUGS. Above all, she especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While her mobility allowed, she enjoyed treasure hunting at yard sales and traveling with her friends. Mrs. Potts especially loved spending time working in her yard and caring for her flowers and plants.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lester Franklin Potts; three sisters; three brothers; a granddaughter, Denise Potts; and a great-grandson, Sydney Pangan.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Potts (Reneé), and Denny Potts (Sandra); grandchildren, Drew Potts, Jacob Potts, Tara Kleaveland (Justin), Hollie Pangan (Chad), and Dusty Potts (Heather); and great-grandchildren, Nisee Pangan, Lacee Pangan, Maeli Potts, and Ryker Potts.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 27, at Hardison Methodist Church, with Rev. Wes Sink officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, September 26, at Lambert Funeral Home.
