Mr. Michael Burl Lanier, 64, of Advance, died Monday, March 4, 2024, at his residence.

He was born November 8, 1959, in Davidson County, to the late Burl Monroe and Faye Dean Williams Lanier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Burl Monroe Lanier, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Dottie Lanier of home; son, Justin Lanier (Jennifer) of Advance; stepchildren, Keith Goodin (Shana) and Christy Cowan; sister, Cindy Livengood of Wilmington; grandchildren, Colt Lanier, Brooke Lanier, Breanna Cowan, and Halen Goodin.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
