Maude Hucks Mishoe, 92, of Stanley, formerly of Mocksville, died Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Stanley Total Living in Stanley.

She was born May 10, 1934, in Conway, SC, to the late William Penn and Susan Myrtle Hardee Hucks. Mrs. Mishoe was a member of Blaise Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David Mishoe; and siblings, Joseph Hucks, Keziabelle F. Gill, William P. Hucks, James K. Hucks, and Anna Ruth O’Neil.

Survivors include children, Wanda Gale Hollar (Lane P.), John E. “Eddie” Mishoe (Lisa D.), and Cynthia “Cindy” Oakley (Mike); a sister, Carrie M. Mullis; grandchildren, Ryan Mishoe (Mary), Andrea Willard (Wayne), Amy Davenport (Nick), Katrina Dwiggins (C.J.), and Nikki Whiteheart (Jay); and great-grandchildren, Jacob Mishoe, Lydia Mishoe, Eli Willard, Marisa Willard, Evee Dwiggins, Lucie Dwiggins, Jameson Dwiggins, and Harvey Davenport.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 11, at Blaise Baptist Church, with Rev. Ken Furches and Pastor Eric Chaney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them at the church one hour prior to the service.
