Matt Hardesty, 54, of Mocksville, was born and passed on October 20. He is survived by his wife, Renee' Hardesty; son, Hunter Hardesty; and parents, Kathy and Ron Deur and Jeffery and Katie Hardesty.

Matt was a police officer for 30+ years and Drone as a First Responder Pilot for 2+ years.

Matt loved working, fixing, fabricating and flipping hot rods and c10 trucks. He loved fast cars and motorcycles. He loved cooking, photography and educating others. But most of all he loved and was the most proud of his pride and joy….his son, Hunter.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 2, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Joshua L. Gupton officiating.
