Mary Elizabeth Nichols, age 79, died April 15 in Maple Leaf Nursing Home. Her parents were the late Raeford and Mary Cowan Parks. She was a graduate of Unity High School and retired from Uniglass Industries. 'Lib' loved to walk, garden, and attend Bible Study at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Nichols, Jr., one brother, David Parks, and one sister, Alma Cunningham. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Templeton of Harmony, and Donna Nichols Roberts and her husband Steven of Statesville; two sisters, Katie Holmes and Jocelyn (Ray) Dalton both of Harmony; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
