Mrs. Mary Elizabeth 'Libby' Ijames Etchison, of 115 Hickory Tree Rd., Mocksville, NC was born June 9, 1936 to the late Joseph Ijames and Jasper Payne Ijames of Mocksville, NC. Libby was a 1954 graduate of Davie County Training School, and a retired employee of Sara Lee Hosiery of Winston-Salem, NC. She attended New Patterson Grove Faith Church in East Bend and had a strong faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by two brothers, Ted and Joseph Etchison, both formerly of Mocksville. She passed from this life on March 25, 2015 at Novant Health & Palliative Care in Winston-Salem, NC after a long period of illness. Libby is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Billy Etchison, of the home; four sons, Billy Carlos (Kathleen) Etchison, Joseph (Touloup) Etchison, Eric Etchison, and Walter (Jamie) Etchison, all of Mocksville; one daughter, Rebecca (Wayne) Allen of Advance, NC; one sister, Sandra Rivers of Mocksville; one sister-in-law, Linda Ijames of Mocksville; one aunt, Mae Daniels of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
