Mrs. Mary Frances Cope Spaugh, 83, of Mocksville, died Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

She was born September 3, 1939, in Davie County to the late Howard Taft and Mary Jane Forrest Cope. Mrs. Spaugh was a member of Turrentine Baptist Church. She had retired from Lexington Furniture.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 year, Harvey Lee Spaugh; and numerous siblings.

She is survived by her son, Tracy Scott Cope (Christy) of Mocksville.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 24, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Fred Carlton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The service will be available to view on the funeral home website.
