Martha Fay Rea Ogden, 81, of Bermuda Run, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 8, 2022, surrounded by her family at her Bermuda Run home.

Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bob" Glenn Ogden, Jr.; three children, Johnny R. Reid, Tina M. Hodges, and Rick D. Reid (Jennifer); four stepchildren; Robert A. Ogden, David G. Ogden (Lori), Sherri L. Ogden (Jo), and Deanna L. Muraki (Yasunobu); thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Nell R. Johnston (David); brother, Robert L. Rea (Alice); sister-in-law, V. Joann Lowder.

Fay was born March 9, 1941, in Russellville, Alabama to John Lee and Ollie Poss Rea. She spent her early years in Alabama before moving to Cleveland, OH where she attended grade school. Fay subsequently returned to Huntsville, AL where she graduated high school and attended business college. She moved to Winston-Salem and resided in Bermuda Run until her passing. Fay loved to entertain her family and friends, traveling, and playing golf. Her true passion was poker, bridge, and canasta. Fay was a fierce and skilled competitor. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every opportunity to be with them, even during the difficult time of her progressing illness, the visit of a child brought a smile and glow to her.

A celebration of life will be conducted 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, September 9, at Lambert Funeral Home. A family graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, September 10, at Carolina Memorial Sanctuary in Mills River.
