Obituary

Marshall Allen Steele, known as 'Tobe,' was born on April 4, 1940 in Davie County, son of the late Ruth Steele Lewis. He was educated in Davie County and Rowan County Schools and retired from Ingersoll-Rand. He was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church in Mocksville and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Tobe was well known in the community for his delicious cooking and grilling. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Dalton Steele of the home; one daughter, Selina (Kevin) Naylor; two sons, Shawn (Avery) Steele and Brad Steele; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral service on Saturday, March 24 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 261 S. Main Street in Mocksville. Family Visitation 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Second Presbyterian Church cemetery.
