Mrs. Margaret Laird Leonard, 81, of Mocksville, received her heavenly reward on Monday, September 30th, 2024.

She was born April 23,1943, in Mocksville, NC, to the late Charlie Raymond and Mabel Elwood Robertson Laird.

Margaret was a talented seamstress, enjoyed gardening and cooking for family and friends. She retired from Hanes after many years as a dedicated associate. She exemplified her love for the Lord by serving her family, church, friends, neighbors and anyone in need.

She is an everlasting example of selflessness, kindness and empathy for all; a pure reflection of God's love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Buzz" Leonard; brothers, Billy Laird and Charlie Herman Laird.

She is survived by her sons, Barry Leonard of Advance; Rodney Leonard of Mocksville; sisters, Kathy Jill Tuttle of Winston Salem, and Debbie Laird of Mooresville; brother, Bobby Laird of Mocksville; a special niece, Brittany Laird; a great nephew, Anthony Laird; and a great niece, Sophie Laird of Mocksville.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Redland Church, IPHC, with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them at the church one hour prior to the service.
