Mrs. Mamie Sue Pinkston Williams, 87, of Mocksville, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville.

She was born March 6, 1938, in Davie County, to the late Dwight Wade and Mary Elizabeth Perrell Pinkston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John "Lee" Williams; and her beloved sister, Johnsie Pinkston Hall.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann and Kay; a very best friend, Fern Haeling; and a fur son, Wilson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, January 23, at Salem Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Tifft and Rev. Sybil Perrell officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the graveside service.
