Louise Caudell Bowden, 93, of Mocksville, died Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Mocksville Senior Living. She was born April 2, 1928, in Rowan County, to the late Jefferson and Margaret Fisher Caudell. Mrs. Bowden was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mocksville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Daniel. Survivors include her husband, Leo Sheek Bowden, Jr.; children, Jeff Bowden (Beth) of Mocksville and Linda Hale of Asheville; grandchildren, Andrew Hale (Christina), Ashley Bowden, Marguarite Hale Brunton (Chris), Alyse Bowden Wooldridge (David), and Bradford Jefferson Hale (Bethany); and great-grandchildren, Adam Alexander Szewczyk, Aidan Anthony Szewczyk, Capron Elizabeth Wooldridge, Josephine Evelyn Hale, Charles Aldon Brunton, and Linden Shadrick Brunton. Due to Covid concerns, a private family graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, at Rose Cemetery, with Rev. Lori Ann Bowen officiating.
