Linda Louise Stover
Corson
Jun 9, 1947 — Nov 23, 2025
Linda Louise Stover Corson of Advance, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, gained her heavenly wings on Nov. 23, 2025.
Linda was born on June 9, 1947, in Staunton, VA, to the late Sidney Leroy and Pauline Link Stover. She lived a life built on love, faith, and selflessness. She had a gentle heart and a giving spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Linda was the one who always made sure everyone else was cared for before herself, and her quiet strength and unconditional love will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Corson of Advance; and her children, Barry Corson (Lisa) of Statesville; Timothy Surratt (Julie) of Weyers Cave, VA; Debra Jackson (Paul) of Statesville, and Linda Kennedy of Woodleaf.
Linda's love extended deeply to her grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart: Joshua Jackson (Lydia) of Ormond Beach, Fla., Jonathan Durham (Miranda) of Linwood, Brittney Knight of Craigsville, VA, Crystal Jackson of Bedford, VA, Brandi Roberts (Chuck) of Stuarts Draft, VA, Kayla Allen (Adam) of Lexington, Sarah Surratt (Erin) of Waynesboro, VA, Hannah Surratt of Fishersville, VA, Tiffany Surratt of Staunton, Austin Reynaldo (Nick) of Statesville, Summer Keith (James) of Rockwell, and Abigail Kennedy (Jason) of Woodleaf.
She was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter. Linda is also survived by her two sisters, Becky Ramsey (John) of Goshen, VA, and Mary (Ella) Turner of Stuarts Draft, VA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who adored her.
Along with her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Royce "Rock" Turner; and her beloved son, Douglas "Doodle" Surratt.
Linda will be buried at Augusta Memorial Cemetery in Staunton, VA.
Linda's love was the kind that left a mark - a love that will live on through the memories, lessons, and warmth she gave to so many. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, surrounded by the loved ones who went before her, and that her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on forever.
