Obituary

Levi Charles Beaver, 11, of Mocksville, went home to be with the Lord Friday, July 3, 2026.

He was born January 5, 2015, in Iredell County. Levi was a member of Salem Methodist Church where he served as pastor's assistant, light bearer, and on the welcoming committee. Levi was a bright and intelligent child whose wisdom far exceeded his years. He never met a stranger and loved everyone he encountered. Levi had a remarkable gift making others feel seen, valued, and loved, never missing an opportunity to tell someone how much he loved them. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and could fill an empty heart with joy. Levi was a light in the lives of so many and to those who knew him, he made the world a brighter place. His joyful spirit and quick wit brought laughter through one of his famous "dad jokes" or his clever sense of humor. He cherished time spent with his buddies in his "club house" and he enjoyed video games, playing with trucks, building things, farming, spending time with animals and eating at Huffman's. Above all he loved spending time with his family.

Levi loved the Lord with all his heart. He treasured reading the Bible with his parents and found great joy in serving at Salem Methodist Church. Though his time was far too short, the love he shared, the faith he lived and the joy he brought to others will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him forever.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Terry and Martha Wimbish; and uncle, Wesley Swaim.

Survivors include his guardians, "Papa" Barry Swaim and "Nana" Chandra Swaim; mother, Christina Hayes; maternal great-grandparents, Henry and Sandra Walker; aunts and uncles, Justin Swaim (Brandi), Jonathan Beaver (Emily), Crystal Thompson (Dallas), and Angel Swaim (Edgar); great-aunts and uncles, Stacy Walker (Missy), Maurice Walker (Sandra), Terry Wimbish (Angela), and Barabra Sue Collins (James); and many cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, July 10, at Salem Methodist Church, with Rev. David Tifft officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 9, at Lambert Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be considered for Salem Methodist Church, 169 Salem Church Road, Mocksville, NC 27028.
