Leora Janice Prude, 66, of Mocksville, passed away peacefully Tuesday March 14, 2023, with family by her side while at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.

She was born June 29, 1956, in Detroit, MI, to the late Ausie Samuel Ernest Prude and the late Mary Lee Morris. Janice was employed with American Airlines for 16 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nia Chapter 331 in the United National Jurisdiction. Janice proudly served in the United States Army. She had a love for music and dancing, traveling, shopping and loved being around family.

Janice is survived by her husband, Michael Henderson; daughter, Cornelia Williams; siblings, Helen Prude, Ausie Prude (Cheryl); sister-in-law, Barbara Richerson; two grandchildren, Alonzo Myers, Darius Myers. Also left to cherish her memory are much loved niece, nephews, great-nieces, along with extended family members and friends.
