Leonard Allen Godbey, Sr., 92, of Mocksville, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born November 24, 1933, in Davie County, to the late Calvin Franklin and Maggie Elizabeth Vickers Godbey. Leonard was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Godbey; children, Angela Lewis (Damian), Leonard Allen Godbey, Jr., Marshall Ray Godbey (Lisa), and Jonathan Austin Godbey (Denise); stepson, Kenneth Eric Wickstrom (Brittany); a sister, Hazel Louise Isley (Hubert); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, April 3, at Salem Methodist Church, with Rev. David Tifft officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
