Keith Wayne “Pappy” Cranmer, 62, of Lexington, died Sunday, August 9, 2026, at his home.

He was born on August 29, 1963, in Shelby County, KY, to the late Alvin Thomas and Viola Mae Brooks Cranmer. Keith was a devoted member of the Pentecostal faith and cherished his family deeply. He found great joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandloves, who held a special place in his heart.

Survivors include his wife, best friend and soul mate, Shirley Minor Cranmer; children, Travis Brinkley, Amy Cruz, Jennifer Cranmer (Isiah Guest), Amber Johnson (Chauncy), Christopher Cranmer, Mindy Cranmer, Lee Ziglar (Ethan Miller), Brooke Ziglar (Clay Whittington); siblings, Wilma Sanford (Bill), Mark Cranmer (Brittany), Tina Cranmer, Melissa Spenser (Reggie), Daryl Cranmer, and Thomas Wimsatt; grandloves, Karman (Dylan), Lily (Estefany), Leah (Jada), Rion, Aiden, Nick, Matt, Mason, Raelynn, Kaili, Thea, Colton, Ares, Peyton, Ajax, James, Dontae, and Deion; great-granddaughter, Kathaleya; special nephews, Brandon and Steven Sanford; numerous nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Karen Harp, Debbie Smith, and Tammie Minor (Tim); many aunts and uncles; and special friends, Phill Love and Gene McClamery.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 13, at Elbaville Church, Advance, with Pastor Daniel Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family invites friends to visit with them at the church one hour prior to the service.
