Kathy Marshall
Walker
Feb 4, 1959 — Feb 23, 2026
God, in His infinite wisdom, has called home His daughter, Kathy M. Walker, of Mocksville, a woman whose life was marked by resilience, compassion, and a deep abiding love for her family and friends, on Monday, February 23, 2026.
Kat Walker loved God and knew Him as her Lord and Savior. Born to the union of the late Cannon and Stella Marshall, on February 4, 1959, Kathy was the firstborn of eight children - a role she embraced with love, grace, humor, and a protective heart.
Kathy was educated in Catawba County Schools, graduated from Bunker Hill High School. She was later educated and trained in Health Care. Her successful career allowed her to touch countless lives with gentleness, love, excellence, skill, and compassion. Kathy taught many lessons simply by the way she lived - lessons about strength, forgiveness, loyalty, perseverance, and the importance of loving people deeply. Those who knew her will remember her dry humor, her quiet wisdom, and the way she could make you feel seen and valued. To know Kathy was truly to love her.
Since 1995, Kathy shared her life with her spouse, Thomas Walker.
Kathy departs this life to join her mother, grandmother, her three beloved children, Jennifer, Bradley, and Brent; her siblings, Michael Marshall and Vivian Howard; and her dearly loved pets, Lucky, Yaya, and Beethoven. We rejoice that she is reunited with those she longed for, even as our hearts ache at her absence.
Kathy leaves to cherish her memory, Thomas Walker, her spouse; her three amazing grandchildren, Stella, Nathaniel, and Cannon; her brothers, Raymond, James, and Robert ("Bert," her favorite); her sisters, Millicent and Lisa; and Lulu her loyal pet, along with a host of relatives (Garfield Robinson & Sharon Propst) and friends. Each of us will carry a piece of her heart and her legacy.
Today, heaven gained another Precious Soul.
We love you, Kathy. Rest on in Jesus -
YOU deserve it.
