Kathy Sofley Pfeiffer, 69, of Advance, passed away on June 8, 2025.

She was born on December 23,1955, to the late Jesse Martin Sofley, Jr. and Catherine Mock Sofley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Pfeiffer; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Kathy graduated from Davie High School in 1974, and then from Forsyth Tech School of Nursing as an RN. She was a devoted nurse and caregiver, having worked at RJ Reynolds and the Industry of the Blind in their healthcare services.

Survivors include her devoted son, Nicholas Pfeiffer; as well as special aunts and uncles, Emily and Don Eaton, Edythe and Bill Rummage, and Roy and Sandra Sofley; a brother-in-law, Charlie Crotts; a niece, Kristen Crotts; numerous cousins; and devoted friends, Anna McGhinnis, and Dr. Kerry Collins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 11, at Mocks Church Cemetery, with Rev. Roger Rayburn officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them at the graveside immediately following the service.
