Kathryn Ann Kirby Palmer, 77, of Advance, died Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

She was born April 25, 1949, in Boston, MA, to the late Henry James and Mary Louise Coffey Kirby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Charles Russell Palmer; three sisters, Deborah Jean Palmer, Loretta Teresa Dickey, and Mary L. Fields.

Survivors include her son, Robert Walsh, Jr.; two daughters, Aileen Morales, and Lena; a brother James Kirby (Sandra); several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at later date at Lambert Funeral Chapel.
