Jane Brown Belcher was born in Davie County, daughter of Clarence Odell Brown, Sr., and Johnsie Mason Brown. She graduated from Davie High School in 1965. Most of her adult life was spent in New York, where she retired from Pilgram State Hospital as a Nurse Attendant. Her husband, Phillip Belcher, Sr., preceded her in death on August 26, 2001. She is survived by her step-mother, Juanita Brown of Mocksville; two sons, Phillip (Chinel) Belcher, Jr., of Mocksville and Edward Belcher of Wyandanch, Long Island, NY; three brothers, Wayne Brown, Robert (Ernestine) Brown, Jessie (Doris) Brown; five sisters, Lynetta Brown, Onell Lewis, Brenda McDonald, Angela (Tonie) Webb, and Wanda Brown; six grandchildren; one aunt, Ida Goolsby. A memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1:00 PM at Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness in Mocksville. The Family Visitation at Davie Public Library 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
