James Max Sale, Jr., 72, of Mocksville, died Sunday, August 18, 2025, at home.

He was born November 30, 1952, in Surry County. Mr. Sale was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Annie Laurie Pate Wilson (Vick); and his father, James Max Sale, Sr.

Survivors include his daughters, Casey Sale and Johnna Sale; siblings, Arvil Sale and Vickie Orange (Charles); grandchildren, Emma Frausto and Memphis Holden; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, August 25, at St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hamptonville, with Rev. Greg Freeman officiating.
