James 'Nick' Naylor, 31, was born in Davie County on January 15, 1984, son of James Kelly Naylor and Phyllis Hunter. He was educated in Davie County Schools, and graduated from Davie High School in 2002. He attended Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, and then entered the United States Marine Corps. Recently, he was employed by Wal-Mart in Mocksville. Throughout his life Nick enjoyed a number of sports that included basketball, football, wrestling, and rock climbing. He was a devoted fan of Duke, the Buccaneers, and Celtics. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. His memory will be cherished by his beloved family and friends that include his father, James Kelly (Angela) Naylor of Mocksville; his mother, Phyllis Hunter of Charlotte; one brother, Brian Hunter (fiance Casey Brewer) of Angier, NC; one sister, Tashia (J.J.) Rice of Mocksville; two step sisters, Latosha Lyons of Greensboro, and Mariah Lyons of Mocksville; other relatives and friends.
