James Hubert Call, 70, of Roaring River, died Monday, February 2, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center in High Point.

He was born September 24, 1955, in Wilkes County.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Roosevelt Call; mother, Vernon Sue Johnson Matthew; a son, James Call, Jr.; and siblings, Pamela, and Tony.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Leigh Wilson Call; a daughter, Ronda Combs; siblings, Joanne, Henry, Steve, Lisa, and, Debbie; and grandchildren, Harley, Jersey, Hailey, Logan, Christopher, Dixie, Jacob, and Addy.

A service will be held at a later date.
