Mrs. Helen Dhue Dunn Jarvis, 87, of Advance, died Friday, December 8, 2023, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, in Winston-Salem.

She was born January 19, 1936, in Advance, to the late Samuel Thomas Dunn, Sr. and the late Mary Augusta Foster Dunn. Mrs. Jarvis was a member of Redland Church, IPHC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Zachary Jarvis; a son, Jeffrey Clanton Bracken; and siblings, Reno, Loy, S. T. Jr., Nannie Mae, and Mary.

Survivors include children, Joey Jarvis of Farmington, David Jarvis of McKinney, TX, and Karen Mayes of Advance; special niece, Joan Brown of Advance; special grandson, Heath Jarvis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 14, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Wayne Swisher officiating. The service will be available to view on the funeral home website. The family invites friends to visit with them at the funeral home immediately following the service.
