Mrs. Helen Wood Carper, 95, of Mocksville, died Monday, December 25, 2023, at her home.

She was born July 9, 1928, in Forsyth County, to the late Shelly Linford and Arcie Cora Foster Wood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Malcolm Carper, Sr.; children, George M. Carper, Jr., David N. Carper, and Cynthia C. LaMorte; and a sister, Thelma Leonard.

Survivors include grandchildren, Terry Phibbs, Jr. (Mary Doyle), John Griffin (Laura), Christina Bevers, Mitchell Carper, David Carper, Jr., and Stephanie Carper; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, January 5, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston-Salem.
