Harvey Leslie Ashburn, 76, of Mocksville, died Monday, January 12, 2026, at SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin in Yadkinville.

He was born May 11, 1949, in Forsyth County, to the late Harvey Baxter and Helen Lucille Lewis Ashburn.

He was a member of Hope Baptist Tabernacle Church. Harvey retired after 50 years of employment with Shores Plumbing and Heating of Mocksville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Poston; three brothers, Donald Lewis, Clifford Lewis, and Richard Ashburn; and a brother-in-law, Elton Poston.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Shores Ashburn; a daughter, Leslie Gail Ashburn Richardson and son-in-law Zack; two brothers, Joe Ashburn (Corindia), and Wayne Lewis (Barbara); three sisters-in-law, Carol Lewis, Rebecca Lewis, and Debbie Ashburn; special aunt, Shirley Lewis; special uncle, James Lewis (Jonell); and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 17, at Lambert Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chris Cantrell officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them following the service at the funeral home.
