Ms. Gladys Antonia Napoles Gonzalez, 81, of Mocksville, died Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Davie Nursing & Rehab.

She was born February 14, 1942, in Camaguey, Cuba, to the late Julio and Julia Margarita Recio Napoles. Gladys enjoyed walks in the park, going to the beach, and spending time with her special K-9 companions. She especially enjoyed reading her Bible every day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Juan Antonio Gonzalez; and three siblings.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Zacarias, Reinaldo Gonzalez, Odalys Melda, and Belinda Raiden; grandchildren, Joshua Zacarias, Jacob Zacarias, Jackelyn Zacarias, Owen Gonzalez, Darrel Gonzalez, Alexander Melda, and Savanna Melda; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Jr. Zacarias, Jayden Zacarias, Mary Gonzalez, Emma-Rae Gonzalez, and Isabelle Gonzalez.

A funeral service will be conducted at a later date in Florida.
