Obituary

Mr. George Rhinehardt was born in Catawba County March 25, 1961, to the late Andrew Rhinehardt and Annie Lee Propst Rhinehardt. He was a dedicated husband and father and a committed member of Coulters Grove African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. George Rhinehardt was a loyal member of the Steward Board, where he served as both Chairman of the Board and Preacher's Steward. George was a Class Leader and even served as Leader of Leaders. He was often found running the sound system during church service and special programs. George's personality, his winning smile and his unique quiet spirit will be sincerely missed by his family, the AME Zion connection of faith, The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club family, as well as the community at large. After a lengthy illness in which he always remained strong in Faith, George Rhinehardt went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 10,2012. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother; John Franklin Rhinehardt. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Oletha Coulter Rhinehardt; two daughters, Olesha Candace and Oriel Christa Rhinehardt; one sister, Mildred (Peter) Duke of Seffner, Florida; one brother, Andrew (Shelia) Rhinehardt of Newton, NC; one sister-in-law, April Reid Rhinehardt of High Point, NC; aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Funeral service on Tuesday, May 15 at 1:00 PM at Coulters Grove AME Zion Church. Rev. Willie Funderburk officiating and burial in church cemetery.
